Production Line Digital Transformation Project
Founded in 1976, Piksan CNC is one of Türkiye’s leading CNC metal machining companies and continues its operations in its facility with 4,400 m² of indoor space in Dilovası İMES OSB. With the capability to manufacture and sharpen all the cutting tools required for sampling and part production using its own in-house CNC sharpening and grinding machines, Piksan CNC has a wide range of precise horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers as well as measurement and inspection equipment.
The E-Life EPC-415A Panel PC was selected for a project launched to fully digitalize activities such as material and production traceability, effective process control, efficiency measurement and precise cost calculation at production facilities where all preparations for pre-series and series production are carried out on an ERP software infrastructure.
Before the E-Life EPC-415A Panel PC application introduced with the digital transformation project, work orders and measurements were filled out on paper; these processes have now been moved to a fully digital infrastructure. Choosing our E-Life EPC-415A model for its better price-performance among the Panel PC solutions on the market, Piksan CNC moved to fully digital production with the Industry 4.0 application it commissioned in 2022 and successfully transitioned to a Smart Factory system. By positioning E-Life EPC-415A Panel PCs at all machines in the production area, it saved the time lost on paper-based preparations and minimized paper consumption. Company officials expect a significant increase in production efficiency with this new application and also aim to reduce scrap rates.
