Ice cream, milk desserts, cakes and bakery products are produced at MADO’s factories in Kahramanmaraş.
With the Barcode-Based Field Automation software developed by Tematik, production, packaging, carton and pallet packing, storage and shipment processes are tracked by barcode. In all production units, product packages and cartons carry 2D barcode labels applied manually or with automatic labeling methods. Given the information it contains, the 2D Barcode Method is being applied for the first time in Türkiye in food production and packaging (especially in ice cream production). All movements in the production, warehouse and shipment stages are tracked with handheld terminals and integrated into the SAP application.
On the hardware side of the project, E-Life A213X industrial panel computers with touchscreens are used. The Panel PCs work with barcode scanners, barcode printers and scales to collect and process information. The applications implemented at the factories are similarly used in production and stock-shipment operations at MADO’s Ankara, Istanbul and İzmir Regional Directorates. With the Tematik Barcode-Based Field Automation (BSO) system, product traceability can be applied in all processes from production to shipment.
