Çukurova University Faculty of Dentistry

Having decided in 2009 to renew the entire infrastructure of its new building under construction, the faculty decided to purchase touchscreen computers to bring the hospital in line with the latest technology of the day and to further improve the patient-doctor relationship.

Due to the touch technology used in the ELO ET1919L monitors and their zero-bezel surface, they were deemed the most suitable monitors for the system. While the renovation was ongoing, the faculty completed its technology infrastructure by purchasing the monitors from Noya Bilgisayar through a tender.

Thanks to the software developed and used by the hospital, patients’ panoramic X-ray images are transferred to digital media. Images on the touchscreen can be zoomed in and out, and by touching the relevant tooth, all operations such as notes, treatments performed, prescriptions, planning, test results and reporting can be done on screen. The X-ray images seen on screen are given to patients on CD. With this application, the hospital also takes an environmentally friendly approach. In the project, which has been running for 3 years, Elo ET1919L touch monitors are still actively used and make the hospital staff’s work easier.

In addition, this project pioneered by the Faculty of Dentistry has been adopted by many other faculties, and installation work is ongoing.
